Ahead of his Raretraxxx 3-hour vinyl set held at our next event featuring Lena Willikens we reupload this Cristian G. Martí’s mix recorded on a now lost cassette. Originally titled “Selftrax?”, one could say it weaves a plethora of records from several genres, from downtempo and ambient house to 80’s electro, avant-funk, dub, trip hop, house, acid house or bleep, but its main characteristic is the exhibition of Martí’s main traits, which make him undoubtedly one of the best DJs we have ever seen, one of those few real DJ’s DJ. It is as if he traverses almost the entire musical spectrum looking for records to build narratives in and in-between genres, giving more importance to the music material, always offering a peculiar and fine selection —like gems shining among piles of records— and a truly special, unique way of mixing.
